Panera Bread in Lansing, MI is seeking an Assistant General Manager to lead an energetic bakery-cafe team and partner with the General Manager to deliver outstanding guest experiences.

You will hire, train and develop staff, manage scheduling, and ensure service and quality standards while driving business growth. This role requires flexible hours, strong business sense, and a commitment to Panera’s values.

Qualifications

• Minimum age: 18 years of age.
• 1+ years of restaurant management experience preferred.
• ServSafe certification (or ability to achieve).
• Proven ability to drive positive results through strong business acumen.
• Proven availability to run great shifts while directing, motivating, coaching and developing others in a fast-paced environment.
• This role requires flexible hours including nights and weekends in a fast-paced environment with shifting priorities.
• Background check required.
• While performing this job, the Assistant General Manager role is regularly required to lift, carry, push, or pull objects up to 50 pounds; stand and walk for up to 6 hours.

Responsibilities

• Lead the bakery-cafe and support the General Manager in overseeing operations.
• Hire, train and develop team members to deliver exceptional guest experiences.
• Plan staffing, scheduling and succession planning to meet business needs.
• Monitor costs, inventory and quality standards to ensure operational excellence.
