Panera LLC in Lansing, MI is seeking an Assistant General Manager to lead a beloved bakery-cafe and a dynamic team. You will work with the General Manager to oversee daily operations, hire and develop staff, and drive guest satisfaction while managing costs.

Qualifications

• Minimum age 18 years.
• 1+ years of restaurant management experience preferred.
• ServSafe certification or ability to achieve.
• Proven ability to drive positive results through strong business acumen.
• Proven availability to run great shifts while directing, motivating, coaching and developing others.
• Flexible hours including nights and weekends in a fast-paced environment.
• Background check required prior to offer.

Responsibilities

• Support the General Manager by making key decisions and problem solving.
• Plan and manage staffing needs, shift scheduling, people development, and succession planning.
• Assist with hiring, onboarding, and training of new team members while motivating and celebrating the team.
• Help manage team performance to meet bakery-cafe goals and guest service standards.
• Partner with the General Manager to develop managers on processes and Panera’s guiding values.
• Work as a team to ensure guest satisfaction with food, service, and team.
• Build relationships to create long-term, loyal guests as part of the management team.
• Ensure compliance with policies and local regulations and maintain a safe workplace.
