Job summary

American Bread Company is seeking a General Manager to lead the Murray bakery-cafe, overseeing daily operations and delivering exceptional guest experiences.

You will coach and develop the management team, manage performance, and drive sales while maintaining food safety and quality standards. The role requires a hands-on leader who thrives in a fast-paced hospitality environment and is comfortable with nights and weekends.

Qualifications

• Prior General Manager experience or at least one year as Assistant General Manager.
• Three or more years of restaurant management experience preferred.
• Proven ability to lead, motivate, coach, and develop teams in a fast-paced environment.
• Demonstrated ability to run successful shifts, manage operations, and achieve positive business results.
• ServSafe Food Safety Manager certification required.
• Bachelor's degree preferred.
• At least 18 years of age.

• Achieve business goals: Monitor performance, understand key business metrics, drive sales, and manage labor and operating costs.
• Maintain food safety standards: Ensure compliance with food safety, sanitation, and health regulations.
• Build a positive culture: Foster a team environment grounded in warmth, belonging, growth, and trust.
• Lead by example: Demonstrate accountability, strong communication, sound judgment, and a commitment to continuous improvement.
