Panera Bread is seeking an Assistant General Manager for the Marion, IL bakery-cafe. You will lead an amazing team, partner with the General Manager, delight guests daily, and grow the business while owning hiring, training, and development at your location.

You will guide staffing, schedule shifts, coach and develop teammates, and ensure performance, guest satisfaction, and adherence to policies and safety standards in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• Minimum age 18 years.
• 1+ years of restaurant management experience preferred.
• ServSafe certification (or ability to achieve).
• Proven ability to drive positive results through strong business acumen.
• Proven ability to direct, motivate, coach and develop others in a fast-paced environment.
• Must have flexible hours including nights and weekends.
• Background check required.

Responsibilities

• Assist General Manager by making key decisions and solving problems.
• Plan staffing needs, shift scheduling, people development, and succession planning.
• Assist with hiring, onboarding and training of new team members and energize the team.
• Manage team performance to meet bakery-cafe goals and guest service standards.
• Develop managers on processes and Panera’s Guiding Values & Behaviors.
• Ensure guest delight with food quality and service.
• Build relationships to foster long-term guests and team engagement.
• Follow procedures to execute company strategies and maintain compliance.
