Job summary

Paris Baguette in Thousand Oaks is hiring a Baker to turn dough into croissants, breads, and donuts, keeping the kitchen efficient and food-safe. This role requires at least 1 year of baking experience and comfort with high-volume production.

You will operate ovens, prep tasks, monitor times, and help train new bakers while contributing to a collaborative team. We offer competitive hourly pay and perks, with growth into leadership opportunities.

Qualifications

• 1+ year baking experience; high-volume bakery production preferred.
• Knowledge of food safety, labeling, and sanitization; Food Handler's Certification required.
• Ability to stand for long shifts and lift up to 30 lbs.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and bake all breads, pastries, donuts, and desserts to spec and on schedule.
• Operate ovens, dough conditioners, and fryers safely and efficiently.
• Handle prep tasks: scaling, shaping, topping, finishing products.
• Monitor bake times, temperatures, and product appearance for consistency.
• Maintain a clean, food-safe, and well-organized back-of-house station.
• Rotate and stock ingredients; check quality and freshness.
• Complete production logs, waste tracking, and usage sheets.
• Flag equipment or supply issues to the General Manager.
• Support the team with flexibility and urgency to meet daily goals.
• Help train new bakers in recipes and methods as needed.

We are on a mission to bring expertly crafted baked goods to every neighborhood and are looking for masters of their craft to join our new team in Thousand Oaks.

THE ROLE
