Tyson Foods is seeking a Bagger Operator to monitor and operate the bagging line, Ishida scale, conveyors, and related equipment. You will perform setup/teardown, adjust seals, monitor film supply, and maintain date-code printing accuracy while recording data in Plant View.
The role requires standing, walking, bending and lifting up to 50 pounds, with basic computer skills and ability to read and follow procedures. OSHA-compliant housekeeping and safety are expected.
Job Details: Pay rate: $19.65/Hour
This position is responsible for monitoring and operation of the bagger, Ishida scale, conveyors, tape machine, printers, and metal detector. This position is responsible for Setup/teardown and shutdown of the equipment. The Bagger Operator monitors the quality of the bag seals makes adjustments to the bagger as needed, monitor the film feed and film roll reserve, replacing the film rolls. Maintain the coder/printer for products that receive a date code, bag weights and piece count. Must be able to utilize Plant View to perform hourly piece count and bag seal checks, as well as daily incline conveyer checks. Make sure guarding is in place and the line is safe to work around. Follow Good House Keeping practices to keep work area clean and sanitary.
Requirements: Six months of continuous employment with a single employer within the last 36 months of employment. Other requirements Requires standing, walking, bending, stooping and lifting up to 50 pounds. Must be able to record data in the plant view system with the use of a computer tablet. Basic computer skills and reading comprehension is essential for the proper performance of this job. The Bagger Operator is also responsible for all other duties deemed necessary by the supervisor. This position is responsible for ensuring all related equipment and area is performing to production standards while maintaining a safe work environment and adhering to Tyson policies and procedures. All applicants must provide their government identification number so the system can verify any previous Tyson employment history. This facility will not accept applicants that have worked for Tyson Foods 3 or more times. This facility accepts rehires after 180 days. Tyson reserves the right to require longer waiting periods or not accept rehires based on the reason for dismissal.
