Tyson Foods is seeking a Machine Operator for the 1st shift in Arkansas. The role involves operating a bagging line, calibrating equipment, and maintaining product quality.

You will monitor bag weights, ensure accurate ingredient usage, and support continuous production flow in a safe work environment. Requirements include 6 months of continuous work history in the last year, a Tyson employment history limit, and County residency (Washington, Benton, Madison).

Qualifications

  • 6 months of continuous work history in the last 12 months.
  • 180 days (6 months) waiting period for former Tyson Foods team members.
  • Max of two previous Tyson employments to be considered for hire.

Responsibilities

  • Operate the bagger machine: set up the program, calibrate, and adjust machine parameters to produce the designated bag size and weight.
  • Perform regular checks on filled/sealed bags to ensure machine performance and adjust as needed to meet specs.
  • Ensure continuous product flow and correct ingredients/supplies on the line.
  • Mix marination correctly, ensuring proper ingredients and quantities per formulas and maintaining temperature as specified.
  • Complete Quality Assurance verifications and use handheld scanners to track inventory of ingredients.
  • Notify supervisor if machinery requires maintenance while maintaining a safe work environment.

Schedule: Monday - Friday, possible Saturdays. Hour: 5:30 AM - 2:00 PM approx. Pay: $17.40 hour

Job description
  • This position is responsible for operating the bagger machine which includes setting up the program, calibrating, and adjusting the machine parameters to produce the desired bag size and bag weights.
  • The machine operator will perform regular checks on filled/sealed bags of product to ensure proper machine performance and adjust the machine accordingly to meet product specifications.
  • The machine operator will ensure the continuous flow of product through the production process and ensure proper ingredients/supplies are being used on the line.
  • The person in this position is responsible for the mixing of marination by ensuring proper ingredients and quantities are used for marination formulas and ensure marination mix is maintained proper temperature and in accordance with specifications.
  • The team member in this position will be responsible for filling out Quality Assurance verifications and using handheld scanning devices to manage inventory of ingredients utilized.
  • Must be able to climb stairs while carrying ingredients to dump into the marination tank.
  • Basic math (adding and subtracting) skills are required to keep track of the pounds needed and dumped into the marination tank.
  • The machine operator will be notifying the supervisor if machinery should require maintenance, all while maintaining a safe work environment and adhering to Tyson policies and procedures.

  • Max of two previous Tyson employments to be considered for hire.
