Job summary

Jones Lang LaSalle Incorporated in Boston is seeking a Control Room Operator to monitor the baggage handling system (BHS) and direct response staff for operational continuity. The role requires coordinating with technicians and leadership to minimize disruptions and ensure safety during daily operations.

The position offers a 2nd shift (1:30 PM–12:00 PM), four days a week, with a pay range of $24.00–$28.00 per hour and annual compensation around $57,800–$58,844.

Qualifications

• Experience with baggage handling system operations and safety rules.
• Ability to prepare reports and trend analyses.
• Experience with MS Office and reporting tools.
• Willingness to work evenings, weekends, and holidays.

Responsibilities

• Report BHS alarms/events and clear blockages; repair equipment as needed.
• Coordinate staff and resources to maintain service levels.
• Communicate with stakeholders and provide high level of customer service.
• Monitor BHS to respond to jams, faults, outages, and incorrect routing.
• Follow system contingency plans to minimize outages.
• Dispatch technicians for repairs and assist during breakdowns.
