Job summary

AbbVie in the United States is seeking a Talent Acquisition Compliance Associate Specialist to manage background checks and support compliance for specialized recruitment.

You will partner with Compliance Leads, Recruiters, Legal, and internal stakeholders to ensure accurate and timely background checks and adherence to AbbVie policies.

The role requires strong attention to detail, good judgment, and the ability to handle multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in HR or related field.
• 1–2 years in recruiting, HR ops, or compliance.
• Experience with First Advantage or similar background check vendors.
• Familiar with applicant tracking systems (SmartRecruiters preferred).
• Strong communication and multitasking abilities.

Responsibilities

• Manage background check process for high volume requisitions across functions.
• Serve as primary contact for background check questions and issue resolution.
• Monitor status and ensure timely completion to support hiring decisions.
• Review background check results for completeness and compliance.
• Validate candidate and vendor documentation to meet standards.
• Identify and document background check exceptions or concerns.
• Maintain accurate records and reporting metrics.
• Maintain a positive candidate experience through clear communication.
• Support updates to training materials and standard work.
• Assist with hire eligibility reviews and compliance tasks.
• Ensure compliance with state and federal employment laws and AbbVie policies.
