Job summary

JPMorgan Chase & Co. is seeking a Backend Lead Software Engineer - Java/Spring Boot/AWS in the Connected Commerce team.

You will lead the design, development, and delivery of secure, scalable backend services within Consumer and Community Banking, driving cloud-native solutions and modern engineering practices. You will engage across cross-functional teams to improve code quality, delivery speed, and security, with opportunities to deepen expertise in AI-assisted engineering and cloud

Qualifications

• Formal training or certification on software engineering concepts and 5+ years applied experience.
• Experience in developing, debugging, and maintaining code in a large corporate environment with one or more modern programming languages and database querying languages.
• Proficiency in developing, debugging, and maintaining code using Java, Spring Boot, Microservices, and REST APIs.

Responsibilities

• Executes standard software solutions, design, development, and technical troubleshooting.
• Writes secure and high-quality code using Java/Spring Boot with limited guidance.
• Designs, develops, codes, and troubleshoots with consideration of upstream and downstream systems.
