Job summary

JPMorgan Chase & Co. is seeking a Lead Software Engineer to join the Consumer and Community Bank.

You will be a core technical contributor, delivering secure, scalable microservices and enterprise-grade software in an agile environment. You will lead design and delivery of Java/Spring Boot applications, APIs, and data models, while guiding best practices in security, observability, and AI-assisted development.

Qualifications

• Formal training or certification on software engineering concepts with 5+ years of applied experience.
• Hands-on experience delivering system design, app development, testing, and operational stability.
• Lead design and delivery of Java/Spring Boot microservices with REST APIs and domain-driven design.
• Production-grade engineering: performance tuning, resilience, observability, and incident management with measurable SLOs.
• Cloud-native delivery on AWS with CI/CD, containerization, and automated testing (secure-by-default).

Responsibilities

• Executes creative software solutions and reviews/debugs code.
• Develops secure, high-quality production code and performs code reviews.
• Drives enterprise AI-assisted engineering practices to improve quality and delivery speed.
• Applies SDLC tools including AI-assisted development to improve automation.
• Identifies and automates recurring issues to improve stability of software.
• Leads evaluation sessions with vendors and internal teams on architecture.
