Job summary

JPMorgan Chase & Co. is seeking an AWS Lead Software Engineer-Backend with deep Java/Spring Boot experience to design and deliver scalable, secure backend services in AWS as part of Consumer and Community Banking's Digital Connected Banking team.

You will contribute as a core technical member, driving architecture discussions, ensuring secure coding practices, and leading enterprise-grade solutions across multiple business functions with a focus on reliability and performance.

Qualifications

• Formal training or extensive hands-on experience with Java/Spring Boot.
• Experience delivering backend services at scale in AWS.
• Knowledge of cloud security and secure coding practices.

Responsibilities

• Executes creative software solutions, design, development, and troubleshooting.
• Develops secure, high-quality production code and reviews code written by others.
• Drives adoption of enterprise AI-assisted engineering practices to improve code quality and delivery speed.
• Applies SDLC toolchain knowledge, including AI-assisted development and automation, to improve value of automation.
• Identifies opportunities to reduce recurring issues to improve stability.
• Leads evaluation sessions with vendors and teams to assess architecture and applicability.
