Job summary

Speechify is seeking a Software Engineer, Platform to join our Scottsdale, AZ team. You will own the backend APIs for payments, subscriptions, auth, and analytics across web and mobile clients, ensuring correctness and low latency at scale.

You’ll collaborate with product, mobile, and web teams to push our platform forward, design robust services, and automate operations. Ideal candidates have strong TS/Node backend experience and cloud expertise.

Qualifications

Proven backend experience in TS/Node.
GCP experience with working knowledge of AWS/Azure.
Demonstrated ability to automate and simplify complex systems.

Responsibilities

Design, build, and own the APIs behind payments, subscriptions, auth, consumption tracking, and our public TTS API.
Improve services you didn’t write to be faster, cheaper, and harder to break.
Establish that a change is correct before it ships and codify checks for future correctness.
Automate repetitive parts of your role to unlock more impact.
Turn one-off work into repeatable, reusable solutions.
Design B2B and enterprise integrations for customers.
Collaborate with product, mobile, and web to keep backend architecture aligned.
