Job summary

Speechify is hiring a Software Engineer, Platform to own the backend behind payments, subscriptions, auth, and analytics. You will work on scalable APIs used across web, iOS, Android, and extensions in a distributed, remote-friendly team.

The ideal candidate has strong TS/Node backend experience, cloud fluency (GCP preferred), and comfort with Docker/Kubernetes. You’ll automate, optimize, and drive reliability while collaborating with product and frontend teams.

Qualifications

• Proven backend experience in TS/Node.
• Direct experience with GCP, working knowledge of AWS, Azure, or another cloud.
• Habit of sharing work you used to own and creating room for others.
• Ability to describe AI-assisted, unattended workflows in detail.
• Check results against logs, database state, and actual requests.
• Preference for Docker and Kubernetes deployments.

Responsibilities

• Design, build, and own the APIs behind payments, subscriptions, auth, and analytics.
• Improve services to be faster, cheaper, and more reliable.
• Verify changes against the system and leave checks in place.
• Automate repetitive parts of your role and expand scope accordingly.
• Turn single efforts into reusable work for the team.
• Design B2B and enterprise integrations atop our platform.
