Job summary

Tillster, a global leader in digital ordering and customer engagement, is seeking a Mid-Level Backend Software Engineer to design, build, and maintain cloud-based microservices using AWS and TypeScript. You’ll work with cross‑functional teams to deliver high‑quality software and participate in agile ceremonies while advancing security and testing practices.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or equivalent.
• 2+ years’ experience designing and developing service‑oriented applications.
• Experience designing and building microservice-based systems with high cohesion and loose coupling.
• Languages: TypeScript preferred; other modern OOP languages acceptable.
• Experience implementing unit, integration, and end‑to‑end testing.
• Experience with relational or NoSQL data stores.
• Familiarity with AWS serverless and services like DynamoDB, SQS is a plus.
• Strong English communication and Agile experience.

Responsibilities

• Build scalable, secure microservices using AWS and TypeScript.
• Leverage AI tools to accelerate development, testing, and refactoring.
• Ensure microservices communicate via well‑defined APIs with modular design.
• Implement unit, integration, and end‑to‑end tests with high coverage.
• Participate in Agile ceremonies and drive sprint goals and collaboration.
• Conduct code reviews and validate AI-generated outputs for security and correctness.
• Collaborate with stakeholders to understand requirements and propose solutions.
