Job summary

Tillster is seeking a Mid-Level Backend Software Engineer to design, develop, and maintain cloud-based microservices. You will collaborate across teams to deliver high-quality software using AWS, TypeScript, and modern AI tools, while following best practices and agile processes.

You will contribute to designing scalable architectures and implementing secure APIs, with emphasis on testing, code reviews, and continuous learning in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• 2+ years’ experience in design and development of service-oriented Java, Python, C#, TypeScript applications.
• Experience in designing and building microservice-based systems with high cohesion and loose coupling.
• Languages: Any modern OOP language; TypeScript preferred.
• Ability to integrate AI tools into daily workflow to boost engineering velocity while maintaining code validation.
• Experience with relational or NoSQL data stores and standard design patterns.

Responsibilities

• Build highly scalable, secure microservices using AWS and TypeScript.
• Leverage AI developer tools to accelerate context gathering, boilerplating, and testing.
• Ensure services communicate via well-defined APIs with good modularity.
• Implement robust tests (unit, integration, end-to-end) and promote TDD where applicable.
• Participate in Agile ceremonies and contribute to design sessions with stakeholders.
