Job summary

Tillster is seeking a Senior Software Engineer – Back End to design, develop, and maintain cloud-based microservices. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver scalable software, applying best practices, testing methodologies, and AI-assisted tooling for faster delivery.

Expect to work in an Agile environment with emphasis on security, code quality, and continuous improvement. Strong engineering judgement and communication in English are essential.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of experience designing and developing service-oriented applications.
• Experience designing microservice-based systems with high cohesion and loose coupling.
• Proficiency in modern OOP languages (TypeScript preferred).
• Experience integrating AI tools into daily workflow to boost velocity with validation.

Responsibilities

• Build highly scalable, secure microservices using AWS and TypeScript.
• Leverage AI developer tools to accelerate context gathering, boilerplating, testing, and refactoring.
• Develop and maintain APIs ensuring modular, scalable services.
• Implement robust unit, integration, and end-to-end tests; promote TDD where applicable.
• Participate in Agile ceremonies and collaborate with cross-functional teams.
• Conduct code reviews and validate AI-generated code for security and correctness.
• Contribute to design sessions to improve platform architecture.
• Communicate requirements with stakeholders and product owners.
• Pursue continuous learning through company-provided courses.
