Visionary Eye Institute Inc. is seeking a Back Office Ophthalmic Technician to support physicians in delivering patient-centered care at multiple LA area locations. The role involves patient rooming, testing, and accurate charting.

Part-time and full-time opportunities are available to fit your schedule. The ideal candidate will perform diagnostic testing such as OCT, visual fields, fundus photography, A-scan/biometry, topography, and pachymetry, while maintaining HIPAA-compliant practice

Qualifikationen

• Frontline ophthalmic clinical skills are essential.
• Experience with patient histories and clinical documentation is preferred.
• Ability to operate ophthalmic diagnostic equipment and assist in-office procedures.

Aufgaben

• Room patients and take histories including chief complaint, medications, allergies, and ocular/medical history.
• Perform visual acuity, refraction, pupil exams, and IOP measurement.
• Administer dilating drops and ophthalmic medications as directed by physician.
• Perform diagnostic testing (OCT, visual fields, fundus photography, A-scan/biometry, topography, pachymetry).
• Scribe and document accurately in the EHR during patient encounters.
• Prepare exam rooms and maintain ophthalmic equipment.
