TEKsystems is seeking a Back Office Medical Assistant for a busy Family Practice in Fresno, CA. This contract-to-hire role provides hands-on clinical support to physicians and staff, handling patient rooming, vital signs, EMR updates, and routine procedures to ensure efficient, compassionate care.

The ideal candidate has MA certification or equivalent experience, strong documentation skills, and can thrive in a fast-paced outpatient setting, including injections and immunizations as needed.

• Back Office Medical Assistant experience in outpatient settings.
• Experience obtaining and documenting patient vital signs.
• Knowledge of medical terminology.
• Experience working with an EMR system.
• Strong patient service and communication skills.
• Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced clinical environment.
• Strong attention to detail and documentation accuracy.

Responsibilities

• Room patients and prepare them for examinations and procedures.

Position Overview

We are seeking an experienced Back Office Medical Assistant to join a busy Family Practice team. This position provides hands-on clinical support to physicians and other healthcare providers while helping ensure patients receive efficient, compassionate, and high-quality care.

The ideal candidate has previous back-office MA experience, is comfortable performing clinical duties independently within scope, and can thrive in a fast-paced outpatient environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Room patients and prepare them for examinations and procedures

• Obtain and document vital signs and other pertinent patient information

• Review and update patient information within the EMR

• Assist physicians and other providers with examinations, treatments, and procedures

• Support routine clinical procedures and Medical Assistant duties

• Maintain complete, timely, and accurate clinical documentation

• Coordinate follow-up appointments and provider requests

• Communicate patient needs and concerns to the appropriate provider

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Fresno, CA.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $23.00 - $23.00/hr.
