Job summary

Maryland Local Marketing is seeking an experienced B2B Sales Representative to drive growth of high-value digital marketing solutions for local Maryland businesses. You will engage owners and decision-makers, ask sharp discovery questions, and connect challenges to effective marketing services.

The Opportunity

We are looking for an experienced B2B Sales Representative who understands that successful marketing today goes far beyond simply having a business listing or maintaining a social media page.

This role will focus primarily on selling our higher-value digital marketing and growth solutions , including social media marketing, short-form video content, websites, digital advertising, lead generation, and other services designed to increase a business's visibility and generate new opportunities.

The ideal candidate is comfortable having a business conversation with an owner or decision-maker, asking good discovery questions, identifying marketing challenges, and connecting those challenges to a solution.

You don't have to be a digital marketing expert when you walk through the door—but you should understand the importance of visibility, consistency, content, and digital advertising in today's business environment and be able to communicate that value to a business owner.

What You'll Do

• Prospect and develop new B2B relationships with local business owners and decision-makers
• Conduct consultative sales conversations to understand a business's current marketing efforts, challenges, and goals
• Sell digital marketing solutions including:
• • Social media management and marketing
  • Short-form video / Reels / social content
  • Business websites and website development
  • Google and Meta advertising
  • Lead generation programs
  • Digital visibility and SEO-focused services
  • Other customized marketing solutions
• Help business owners understand why consistent digital visibility matters and how today's customers find and evaluate businesses
• Identify opportunities to increase a company's online presence, engagement, traffic, and lead flow
• Present proposals and marketing strategies based on the prospect's needs—not simply a package or price
• Follow up consistently and professionally throughout the sales process
• Maintain accurate prospect and customer information in our CRM
• Build long-term relationships with clients and identify opportunities for additional services
• Work closely with our marketing team to ensure clients receive the services and support promised during the sales process

This is a B2B sales position. Sales experience matters.

• Has proven B2B sales experience
• Is comfortable prospecting, making outbound calls, and developing new business
• Can confidently speak with business owners and decision-makers
• Is naturally curious and asks strong discovery questions
• Can uncover a business problem before presenting a solution
• Understands that selling marketing requires selling value and business outcomes , not simply features
• Can create urgency without being pushy
• Is comfortable discussing social media, websites, digital advertising, video, and lead generation
• Understands that consumers increasingly research businesses online before deciding where to spend their money
• Is organized, persistent, coachable, and motivated by results
• Can manage a sales pipeline and follow-up process
