Meier Agency in Kansas - Junction City is hiring a Trainee Sales Representative to learn and grow in supplemental insurance sales. You will receive hands-on training and ongoing support to build your skills and confidence.

The role offers a six-week training phase with weekly draw pay, generous commissions, bonuses, and performance incentives tied to your success. Licensing is encouraged and training is provided to obtain Health & Life licenses.

Qualifications

• Experience using accounting or sales-related software is beneficial.
• Willingness to learn about the insurance industry, programs, and regulations.
• Basic computer skills including proficiency with Microsoft Office suite is required.
• Excellent communication and customer service abilities are valued.
• Candidates must have or be willing to obtain an insurance license.

Responsibilities

• Business-to-business cold calling and meetings to educate clients on supplemental insurance offerings.
• Build and maintain relationships with clients, addressing insurance needs and growing your book of business.
• Update reports, records, bookkeeping systems, and other tools to report monthly sales progress.
• Tailor risk management strategies and client profiles to reflect individual needs.
• Stay updated on policy changes to effectively amend programs for clients.
• Implement marketing strategies including cold calling and networking to connect with prospects and current clients.
• Conduct meetings with new and potential clients to present best-fitting policies.
