Job summary

CFS in the Twin Cities seeks an Accounts Receivable Specialist to focus on B2B/commercial collections within its Finance team. You will manage a portfolio of business customers, pursue past-due balances, and help improve cash flow in a collaborative environment.

This role offers a hybrid schedule (3 days onsite, 2 days remote) and a competitive base salary ($65,000–$75,000) with a comprehensive benefits package.

Qualifications

• 2+ years in Accounts Receivable or commercial collections.
• Experience handling a portfolio of business customer accounts.
• Strong understanding of AR aging, reconciliation, and payment application.
• Comfortable making collection calls and communicating professionally about past-due balances.
• Detail-oriented with solid organizational skills.
• Proficient in Excel and ERP/accounting systems.

Responsibilities

• Manage an assigned portfolio of commercial B2B customer accounts.
• Proactively contact customers on past-due balances and secure payment commitments.
• Monitor AR aging and prioritize collections by risk and history.
• Investigate invoice discrepancies, short payments, credits, and deductions.
• Reconcile customer accounts and ensure correct application of payments/adjustments.
• Document collection activity and customer communications thoroughly.
• Collaborate with Sales, Customer Service, Accounting, and other teams to resolve disputes.
• Escalate delinquent accounts as needed.
• Assist with month-end AR activities and related projects.
• Identify opportunities to improve collection processes and cash flow.
