Job summary

Cognizant is seeking an Azure Site Reliability Engineer to ensure reliability, availability, and security for applications and infrastructure hosted on Microsoft Azure. This remote role in the USA emphasizes hands-on Azure SRE, DevOps practices, and automation to improve platform resilience.

The role focuses on automating deployments, monitoring, and incident response while collaborating with application, security, and networking teams to strengthen governance and performance across Azure

Qualifications

Strong hands-on experience managing Azure infrastructure and production workloads.
Solid understanding of Azure architecture, availability, scalability, and troubleshooting.
Experience with Azure services such as Virtual Machines, App Services, Storage, Key Vault, Load Balancers, AKS, and networking.
Experience building and maintaining Azure DevOps CI/CD pipelines.

Responsibilities

Manage production and non-production workloads on Microsoft Azure to ensure reliability and security.
Troubleshoot Azure services and infrastructure, driving timely resolutions and root-cause analysis.
Design and maintain scalable, highly available Azure cloud solutions.
Implement monitoring, logging, diagnostics, dashboards, and alerting with Azure-native tools.
Develop IaC to automate provisioning and configuration of Azure resources.
Automate repetitive operational tasks to improve platform reliability.
Support incident, problem, change, and release management processes.
