Job summary

EY is seeking an experienced cloud engineering leader to drive large government cloud programs in Azure Government. You will oversee platform and infrastructure delivery across multiple workstreams, guiding technical direction and ensuring secure, scalable solutions.

You will build DevSecOps practices, balance risk and delivery quality, and mentor engineers while aligning with product and leadership priorities in a security-first environment.

Qualifications

• 7+ years in engineering with private/public cloud IaaS/PaaS/SaaS.
• Bachelor’s degree in CS or equivalent experience.
• AZ-104 and AZ-305 certifications.
• Hands-on IaC and CI/CD with modern tools.
• Experience with containerized workloads and orchestrators.
• Networking and security fundamentals for cloud gov work.
• Government security framework knowledge (NIST/FedRAMP).
• Proven delivery in Agile environments.

Responsibilities

• Own delivery of cloud platform and infrastructure across initiatives.
• Define technical direction for Azure Gov platforms; ensure scalable, secure operations.
• Establish DevSecOps practices to improve quality and reliability.
• Make trade-off decisions balancing speed, risk, and platform health.
• Lead architecture reviews and enforce standards.
• Manage risks, dependencies, and issues; escalate as needed.
• Influence stakeholders across product, engineering, and leadership.
• Develop engineering talent through coaching and delegation.
• Drive operational excellence and continuous improvement.
