Job summary

EY seeks a senior cloud engineering leader to deliver secure, scalable Azure Government platform capabilities. You will translate mission needs into cloud solutions, guide DevSecOps practices, and drive architecture decisions while mentoring the team and balancing risk and performance.

The role collaborates with product, engineering, and leadership to ensure compliant, resilient cloud services across multiple workstreams and environments.

Qualifications

• 7+ years in engineering roles with cloud IaaS, PaaS or SaaS.
• Bachelor’s degree in CS/IT or equivalent experience.
• Azure certifications AZ-104 and AZ-305 are preferred.
• Hands-on IaC and CI/CD experience with modern tooling.
• Containerized workloads with Docker/Kubernetes and AKS.
• Networking fundamentals for cloud designs.
• Cloud security, identity access, and compliance awareness.
• Windows and Linux server administration skills.
• PowerShell or scripting for automation.
• Experience in government/cloud delivery environments.

Responsibilities

• Own delivery of cloud platform and infra capabilities across initiatives.
• Define technical direction for Azure Government platforms.
• Establish DevSecOps and automation to improve quality and reliability.
• Balance speed, quality, security, and risk while delivering outcomes.
• Lead architecture reviews and ensure standard conformance.
• Manage risks, dependencies, and issues across delivery efforts.
• Influence stakeholders to align priorities without direct authority.
• Develop engineering talent through coaching and feedback.
• Promote operational excellence and continuous improvement.
