Job summary

EY seeks an experienced senior cloud architect to lead delivery of cloud platform and infrastructure capabilities across government programs. You will guide Azure Government solutions, establish DevSecOps practices, and balance delivery speed with security and long-term platform health.

You will work across product, engineering, and leadership to drive architecture decisions, manage risk, and mentor engineering teams while ensuring compliance with government security standards.

Qualifications

• 7+ years in engineering roles with cloud IaaS, PaaS, or SaaS.
• Bachelor’s degree in CS/IT or equivalent.
• Azure AZ-104 and AZ-305 certifications required.
• Hands-on with IaC and CI/CD tools.
• Experience with containerized workloads and orchestration.
• Strong networking fundamentals for cloud designs.
• Solid cloud security understanding and governance practices.
• Identity management using Entra ID and RBAC.
• Experience administering Windows and Linux servers.
• Scripting/automation experience (PowerShell).
• Delivery in Agile environments and effective cross-team collaboration.
• Familiarity with government security frameworks (NIST, FedRAMP).
• Strong communication across technical and leadership audiences.

Responsibilities

• Own delivery of cloud platform and infrastructure capabilities across initiatives.
• Set technical direction for Azure Government platforms.
• Establish and evolve DevSecOps practices for reliability.
• Make trade-off decisions balancing speed, quality, and risk.
• Lead architecture and design reviews for standards compliance.
• Oversee risk, dependency, and issue management across workstreams.
• Influence stakeholders to align priorities without direct authority.
• Grow engineering talent through coaching and delegation.
• Promote operational excellence and continuous improvement.
