Job summary

Synergis is seeking a senior Data Architecture leader to own the end-to-end Azure Databricks Lakehouse platform, including data ingestion, processing, governance, and consumption frameworks. You will set enterprise standards, oversee real-time and batch data replication for CIS, and drive secure integration patterns with downstream applications.

The role requires deep Azure Databricks, Delta Lake, and Unity Catalog expertise, plus a proven track record in large-scale cloud data platform

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent in a relevant field.
• 8+ years of experience in data architecture, data engineering, or analytics platform engineering.
• 3+ years in a senior architecture or technical leadership role.
• Proven design and governance experience for large cloud data platforms (Azure preferred).
• Deep expertise with Azure Databricks, Delta Lake, and Azure data services.
• Strong experience with data ingestion, replication, ETL/ELT, and streaming architectures.

Responsibilities

• Own end-to-end architecture and strategic direction of the Lakehouse platform.
• Define and maintain enterprise architecture standards, medallion design, and Delta Lake implementation.
• Architect and oversee near-real-time and batch CIS data replication with quality and compliance.
• Design and govern integration patterns for secure data consumption by downstream apps.
• Serve as final architectural authority for standards and technology decisions.
• Collaborate with data science and business teams to enable ML and analytics.
• Govern vendor and partner engagements to align with enterprise standards.
• Establish data quality, lineage, cataloging, observability, and governance practices (Unity Catalog).
• Lead architecture decisions for Change Data Capture, streaming, and data integration tech.
• Define data models for reporting, BI, analytics, and regulatory compliance.
