Job summary

WTW in the United States seeks an IT operations engineer to monitor infrastructure and respond to alerts across Azure and on-prem resources. You will investigate incidents using runbooks, dashboards, logs, and diagnostics, and perform approved remediation such as restarting services and validating configurations.

The role includes automating tasks with Terraform and scripting in PowerShell, Python, or Bash, and supporting access management with Entra ID/Azure RBAC.

Qualifications

• 3+ years in IT operations, cloud or infrastructure support.
• Hands-on with Microsoft Azure environments.
• Experience troubleshooting with monitoring tools, logs, runbooks.
• Knowledge of Microsoft Entra ID, Azure RBAC, and access management.
• Ability to code scripts in PowerShell, Python, or Bash.

Responsibilities

• Monitor infrastructure and respond to alerts and requests.
• Investigate incidents using runbooks, dashboards, logs, and diagnostics.
• Remediate issues: restart services, validate configurations, check capacity, apply recovery procedures.
• Gather diagnostics and escalate complex issues to domain teams.
• Support day-to-day Azure, Windows, Linux, VM, storage, SFTP, certificates, secrets, and backups.
• Automate tasks using Terraform, Ansible, or Power Automate.
• Handle access requests using Microsoft Entra ID and Azure RBAC.
• Write and maintain scripts to automate repetitive tasks.
• Collaborate with DevOps and other domain teams to resolve issues and improve processes.
