Job summary

ARS-Rescue Rooter is seeking an Azure Infrastructure Engineer to design, deploy, and secure production Azure infrastructure integrating with on-prem VMware. The role focuses on hybrid networking, migrations, DR, and platform services, with strong DevOps practices and IaC using Terraform, Git, and pipelines.

You will work across teams to ensure repeatable, auditable infrastructure, providing runbooks and supporting incident response in a central IT function.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in IT, Computer Science, Engineering, or related field, or equivalent experience.
• 5+ years of enterprise infrastructure engineering with 3+ years Azure hands-on.
• Experience with VMware, Windows AD/DNS, and hybrid networking.

Responsibilities

• Independently design, deploy, and maintain Azure infrastructure: landing zones, VMs, storage, backup, monitoring, and governance.
• Troubleshoot connectivity, performance, and availability across VM, OS, network, DNS, firewall, and identity.
• Develop runbooks, participate in incident response, change management, and on-call.
• Design VNets, NSGs, routing, ExpressRoute, private DNS, private endpoints, and application delivery.
• Plan and execute VMware/Windows migrations to Azure; create cutover and rollback plans.
• Design DR using Site Recovery and Azure Backup; test recovery results.
• Provide Platform services for App Service, AKS, Logic Apps, API Management; implement Terraform modules.
