Job summary

Bow Wave LLC is seeking an Azure Infrastructure & DevOps Engineer to design, implement, and operate cloud infrastructure on Microsoft Azure. The role blends Azure architecture, IaC, DevOps automation, and security remediation to modernize platforms and support migrations.

Responsibilities include implementing Azure compute, network, and storage, refactoring IaC, automating deployments, addressing security findings, and maintaining performance, reliability, and cost efficiency.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree required.
• 8+ years of experience in cloud engineering, DevOps, or infrastructure roles.
• Strong proficiency with Azure services, automation, and IaC (PowerShell, ARM, Terraform or Ansible a plus).
• Experience with cloud security remediation, compliance, and governance.
• Strong problem-solving, communication, and collaboration skills.
• Experience working in an Agile/Scrum environment.

Responsibilities

• Design, implement, and manage Azure infrastructure, including compute, network, and storage services.
• Modernize the infrastructure repository by bringing unmanaged Azure resources into source control and refactoring IaC (primarily PowerShell).
• Automate deployments and operational workflows using Infrastructure as code (IaC) tools and scripting.
• Analyze and remediate Azure scan findings, focusing on critical and high-priority issues to meet security and compliance standards.
• Monitor, optimize, and troubleshoot cloud environments to ensure performance, reliability, and cost efficiency.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams and provide guidance on Azure best practices.
• Configure CI/CD pipelines.
