Job summary

VSolvit seeks a Senior Enterprise Cloud Architect to lead design, modernization, and migration of enterprise applications within an Azure Government IL5 environment supporting a DoD customer.

You will drive secure, scalable cloud-native solutions, implement DevSecOps, AI-enabled capabilities, and governance across the enterprise, collaborating with cross-functional teams to deliver secure, compliant cloud solutions.

Qualifications

• 10+ years of cloud architecture and enterprise software leadership.
• Azure Government IL5 expertise and DoD security controls.
• Experience migrating on-prem to cloud-native architectures.

Responsibilities

• Lead migration of legacy on-prem apps to Azure IL5, modernizing monoliths to microservices.
• Define secure, scalable cloud architectures and craft reference architectures.
• Design Azure networking, including VNets, NSGs, Firewalls, VPNs, ExpressRoute.
• Architect identity and security using Entra ID, RBAC, Conditional Access, Zero Trust.
• Lead containerization with AKS, Docker, Helm and ACR, multi-cluster strategy.
• Design auto-scaling for apps, containers, compute and storage.
• Develop Data Lake architectures with ADLS Gen2 and analytics.
• Lead AI/ML efforts with Azure ML, Azure OpenAI, RAG, LLMs, vector DBs.
• Create secure knowledge systems with strict data boundaries for IL5.
• Implement secure API integrations and hybrid connectivity with on-prem.
• Establish governance and DevSecOps via IaC, policies, Landing Zones.
• Provide leadership, mentorship across engineering teams.
