Job summary

Accelera Solutions in Chantilly, VA is seeking a senior Cloud Engineer to lead the Azure-based DoD IL5/IL6 initiatives within the EITaaS team. Local, hybrid work arrangement with an active DoD Secret clearance is required.

You will work with Azure CLI/PowerShell and Python to design, deploy, and document secure cloud solutions, mentor teammates, and ensure STIG compliance across Linux and Windows environments.

Qualifications

• Active DoD Secret clearance required or ability to obtain.
• 15+ years of relevant experience; degree may substitute for 5 years.
• 5+ years hands-on Azure experience with IL5/IL6 deployments.
• 7+ years Linux experience; STIGs for Windows/RHEL environments.

Responsibilities

• Architect, plan, and implement Azure Cloud Infrastructure DoD IL5/IL6 with secure practices.
• Provide engineering and admin support for Azure-based solutions and IaaS/PaaS.
• Draft and maintain architecture diagrams, assessments, and design docs.
• Oversee deployments in Azure with Linux CLI and Python automation.
• Lead on network engineering: NGFWs, DNS, IPSec, ACLs, and routing.
• Mentor and lead team members; ensure DoD/DAF policy compliance.
• Monitor costs and identify savings for Cloud Infrastructure.
