Job summary

Expression is seeking an experienced Senior Applications Engineer to support the DAAS AI/ML effort in a Hybrid role based in Virginia. The incumbent will analyze requirements, design software, and deploy secure AI/ML capabilities within AWS GovCloud IL5.

Collaboration with government stakeholders and contractors is essential for successful delivery. The position requires DoD IL5 experience, a technical BA/BS, and proficiency in DevSecOps, security controls, and RMF/ATO processes.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in a technical discipline with at least 10 years of experience.
• Experience in AWS GovCloud environments for DoD workloads.
• Background in AI/ML applications and analytics.
• Proficient in DevSecOps and secure software delivery.
• Familiarity with RMF/ATO processes is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Analyze complex requirements and translate them into scalable software designs.
• Develop and sustain AI/ML capabilities within DAAS in AWS GovCloud IL5.
• Collaborate with architects, engineers, and stakeholders to integrate data sources for AI/ML use cases.
• Develop, test, deploy, and sustain software solutions across dev, test, and prod environments.
• Review and optimize applications for performance, scalability, and reliability.
• Support technical planning, estimation, and release management.
