Job summary

EY is seeking an experienced cloud engineering leader to drive delivery across Azure Government platforms and government cloud programs. You will translate mission needs into secure, scalable infrastructure and guide technical direction across multiple workstreams while balancing quality, risk, and platform health.

Qualifications

• 7+ years in engineering roles with private/public cloud IaaS, PaaS, and/or SaaS.
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, IT, or equivalent experience.
• AZ-104 and AZ-305 certifications (Azure Administrator and Architect).
• Infrastructure as Code & CI/CD – Bicep, Azure DevOps, ARM templates, or Ansible.
• Containers and orchestration – Docker, Kubernetes, AKS, Helm.
• Networking fundamentals – VNets, subnets, NSGs, routing, load balancing.
• Identity/security – cloud identity, RBAC, PIM, Entra ID basics.
• Windows and Linux administration – server management and hardening.
• Scripting – PowerShell; Python or similar is a plus.
• Experience with government security frameworks (NIST) and agile delivery.

Responsibilities

• Own delivery of cloud platform and infrastructure capabilities across initiatives.
• Set and guide technical direction for Azure Government platforms.
• Establish and evolve DevSecOps practices and automation approaches.
• Make informed technical and delivery trade-off decisions balancing speed, quality, risk.
• Lead architecture and design efforts, reviewing solutions for standards alignment.
• Oversee risk, dependency, and issue management across delivery efforts.
• Influence stakeholders to align priorities and drive execution without direct authority.
