EY’s Government and Infrastructure Technology Organization seeks an experienced Assistant Director to lead cloud platform and infrastructure initiatives in Azure Government environments. You will translate mission needs into scalable, secure cloud capabilities, guiding delivery teams and balancing risk, quality, and long‑term platform health.

You will drive DevSecOps practices, mentor engineers, and influence stakeholders across product, engineering, and leadership to achieve mission outcomes

Qualifications

• 7+ years in engineering roles working with private/public cloud IaaS, PaaS, and/or SaaS.
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, IT, or equivalent experience.
• Microsoft Certified: Azure Administrator Associate (AZ-104) and Microsoft Certified: Azure Solutions Architect Expert (AZ-305)
• Strong hands‑on experience in Infrastructure as Code & CI/CD using tools such as Bicep, Azure DevOps, ARM templates, or Ansible
• Containers and orchestration with Docker, Kubernetes, AKS, or similar technologies
• Networking fundamentals including VNets, subnets, NSGs, routing, and basic load‑balancing
• Cloud security principles including NIST, FedRAMP, least privilege, identity‑driven security
• Identity and access management with Entra ID, Azure RBAC, PIM
• Windows and Linux administration including patching and security baselines
• Scripting with PowerShell (Python or similar is a plus)
• Experience with government security frameworks (NIST controls)
• Hands‑on delivery in Agile environments
• Strong written and verbal communication and ability to work on distributed teams

Responsabilités

• Own the delivery of cloud platform and infrastructure capabilities across multiple initiatives, ensuring alignment with business, mission, and security requirements
• Set and guide technical direction for Azure Government platforms, ensuring scalable, secure, and sustainable solutions
• Establish and evolve DevSecOps practices to improve delivery quality and reliability
• Make informed technical trade‑offs balancing speed, quality, security, and risk
• Lead architecture and design reviews ensuring alignment with standards
• Oversee risk, dependency, and issue management across delivery efforts
• Influence stakeholders to align priorities and drive execution
• Develop and grow engineering talent through coaching and delegation
• Promote operational excellence by improving processes, tooling, and ways of working
