Job summary

SMX is seeking an Azure DevSecOps Engineer to design and implement secure, scalable multi-cloud infrastructure for DoD cloud migrations and mission-critical systems.

You will onboard Azure accounts, automate builds and deployments, and work across Azure with multi-cloud awareness. Requires DoD clearance (Secret) and CompTIA Sec+ certification, with emphasis on DevSecOps practices and secure governance across IL2-IL6 environments.

Qualifications

• Must have 8 years’ experience in industry with a Bachelor’s degree (or Associate degree +2 years direct Azure DevSecOps relevant experience, or 4 years direct Azure DevSecOps relevant experience).
• - Active Security Clearance Required: Secret
• - DoD 8570 compliant certification: CompTia Sec+
• - Experience with automating builds, testing, monitoring, and releases across environments
• - Experience with IBM MAS Architecture, IBM WebSphere, and Red Hat OpenShift on Azure
• - Ability to host applications on commercial cloud providers with focus on Azure
• - Experience with containerization and orchestrators like Docker and Kubernetes
• - Ability to collaborate across the software lifecycle
• - Expertise in cloud compute/storage/networking/security/automation

Responsibilities

• Design, architect, and optimize secure IL2-IL6 cloud solutions in Azure
• Navigate client-facing engagements and work with other vendors
• Contribute to technical discussions internally and with customers
• Focus on cloud-native services and optimize the customer landscape
• Define and engineer solution capabilities to meet business requirements and service delivery
• Lead and/or support cloud migration strategies across Dev/QA/Prod environments
• Implement automation for provisioning, configuration, security, and monitoring
• Integrate cloud services with analytics tools
• Support infrastructure security design, patching, and compliance documentation
• Develop engineering methods for cloud environments
