Job summary

SMX is seeking an Azure DevSecOps Engineer to design and implement secure, scalable multi-cloud infrastructure and services in support of Air Force cloud migration and mission-critical systems.

The role involves onboarding Azure cloud accounts, patching, building pipelines, and supporting deployments across Azure and other clouds. DoD 8570 Sec+ certification and a Secret clearance are required.

Qualifications

• 8 years of industry experience with a Bachelor’s degree or equivalent
• DoD 8570 compliant certification: CompTia Sec+
• Active Secret security clearance
• Experience automating builds, tests, monitoring, and releases across environments
• Experience with IBM MAS, IBM WebSphere, and Red Hat OpenShift on Azure
• Ability to host applications on Azure and other commercial clouds
• Experience with Docker and Kubernetes orchestration

Responsibilities

• Design, architect, and optimize secure IL2-IL6 cloud solutions in Azure
• Lead or support cloud migration strategies across classified and unclassified networks
• Build and maintain automation for provisioning, configuration, security, and monitoring
• Develop solutions from scratch using Ansible, Jenkins, Packer, and related tools
• Collaborate with client teams and other vendors on cloud initiatives
• Ensure governance and ATO documentation supports security requirements
