Job summary

SMX is seeking an Azure DevSecOps Engineer to design and implement secure, scalable multi-cloud infrastructure supporting Air Force cloud migration and critical systems. You will onboard Azure accounts, implement security patches, build CI/CD pipelines, and support deployments, primarily in Azure with multi-cloud awareness.

You will collaborate with client and vendor teams, focus on cloud-native services, automate provisioning and security, and help align engineering solutions with DoD

Qualifications

• 8+ years of industry experience with a Bachelor's degree (or equivalent).
• Active Security Clearance: Secret.
• DoD 8570 compliant certification: CompTia Sec+.
• Experience automating builds, tests, monitoring, and releases across environments.
• Experience with IBM MAS, IBM WebSphere, and Red Hat OpenShift on Azure.
• Experience hosting applications on Azure and other cloud providers; containerization with Docker or Kubernetes.
• Experience with DevOps/DevSecOps maturity initiatives.

Responsibilities

• Design, architect, and optimize secure IL2-IL6 cloud solutions in Azure.
• Lead client-facing engagements and coordinate with vendors.
• Contribute to technical discussions with customers and teams.
• Focus on cloud-native services and optimize landscapes via adoption.
• Define and engineer capabilities meeting business requirements and service objectives.
• Lead or support cloud migration strategies across Dev, QA, Prod across networks.
• Implement automation for provisioning, configuration, security, and monitoring.
• Integrate cloud services with analytics tools.
• Support security design, patching, and compliance documentation for ATO.
