Job summary

SMX is seeking Cloud Analysts (Junior/Mid/Senior) to support the design and implementation of secure, scalable multi-cloud infrastructure for the United States Air Force. You will translate requirements into cloud-native architectures, guide DevOps automation, and ensure interoperability across a diverse tech stack in DoD environments.

The role requires familiarity with AWS GovCloud IL2–IL6, FedRAMP, and cloud migration strategies.

Qualifications

High School diploma with 1 year experience for junior level;Bachelor's with 3+ years for mid level; Bachelor's with 6+ years for senior level; Master's with 10+ years for SME level.
Active Secret security clearance required.
Experience supporting enterprise-scale system integrations and automation projects.
Experience managing environments across multiple enclaves and security domains.
Familiarity with cloud governance tools (Xacta, eMASS) and ATO processes.
Ability to document infrastructure diagrams and cloud migration strategies.
Understanding of C4I systems.
Knowledge of Windows operating environments.
Experience with IBM Maximo MAS, IBM WebSphere, and Red Hat OpenShift integrations.
DoD 8570 compliant certification: CompTia Sec+.

Responsibilities

Support cross-functional teams on enterprise cloud initiatives across IaaS, PaaS, SaaS, and Kubernetes-based platforms in DoD environments.
Design, architect, and optimize secure cloud solutions in AWS, Azure, Google, and Oracle environments.
Understand cloud-native architectures for data integration, analytics, and automation.
Support on-premises to cloud migration strategies.
Provide support for cloud-based networks, computers, servers, or devices.
Perform data network emulation/virtualization, analysis, and planning for cloud solutions.
Assess and improve security measures per Cloud Service Offering levels and FedRAMP requirements.
Demonstrate knowledge of AWS GovCloud IL2 through IL6 environments.
Support infrastructure security design, patching, and governance/ATO documentation.
Ensure alignment with policies, cost controls, and technical roadmaps.
Interact with clients and senior technical leads to maintain a positive customer experience.
