Job summary

Leidos is seeking a Senior Cloud Engineer to design, deploy, and manage hybrid cloud infrastructure for Air Force programs. You will automate deployments with Terraform/Ansible, manage Azure IaaS/PaaS, and enforce DevSecOps practices across CI/CD pipelines.

You will monitor resources, optimize costs, and support security and compliance initiatives. On-site work is required with potential relocation to Omaha/NE or nearby locations.

Qualifications

• U.S. citizen with active Top Secret clearance and SCI eligibility.
• Bachelor's degree with 4+ years of experience or Master’s with 2+ years; additional experience accepted in lieu of a degree.
• DoD 8140 Intermediate certification (Security+ CE or equivalent).
• Azure Administrator/solutions architect or similar certs; Azure IAAS/PaaS familiarity.
• Proficient in virtualization (VMware, Hyper-V, OpenStack).
• Experience with public clouds (AWS, Azure, GCP, OCI) and IaC tools like Terraform/Ansible/CloudFormation.
• Strong containerization (Docker) and orchestration (Kubernetes) skills.
• Proficient monitoring (Prometheus, Grafana) and incident management.
• Solid networking knowledge (VPCs, subnets, VPNs, firewalls).
• DevSecOps mindset and continuous learning in cybersecurity and DevOps.

Responsibilities

• Design, deploy, and manage hybrid cloud infrastructures in Azure (IaaS & PaaS).
• Automate deployments using IaC/Configuration-as-Code tools.
• Provision and scale cloud resources with cross-functional teams.
• Monitor resource utilization for cost efficiency and scalability.
• Troubleshoot and resolve infrastructure issues with root-cause analysis.
• Ensure security/compliance within a DevSecOps framework.
• Support CI/CD pipelines and integrate infra automation.
• Implement containers and orchestration (Docker, Kubernetes).
• Configure monitoring to ensure availability and performance.
• Identify optimizations to improve uptime and reduce latency.
• Apply IAM, network segmentation, and encryption best practices.
• Assist in audits (RMF, NIST, ISO 27001) and on-call support.
• Document procedures and troubleshooting steps.
