Job summary

Everforth ECS in Fairfax, VA is seeking a Cloud Security Engineer to design, implement, and maintain cybersecurity controls across on‑premises and Azure cloud environments.

You will collaborate with SOC analysts, administrators, and engineers to harden systems, monitor security tooling, and support incident response, vulnerability remediation, and configuration management in a hybrid Office setting.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree required; 5+ years in cybersecurity engineering or related security roles.
• Hands-on with Azure-based security tools, secure configurations, and enterprise security technologies.
• DoD 8140 IAT Level II Security+ (or higher) clearance preferred.
• Hybrid role in Fairfax, VA with up to 3 days in office.

Responsibilities

• Design, implement, and maintain cybersecurity technologies, controls, and secure infrastructure across enterprise systems and cloud environments.
• Collaborate with SOC analysts, system admins, network engineers, and stakeholders to improve security posture.
• Support incident response, vulnerability remediation, and configuration management activities.
• Develop/runbooks and document security configurations and evidence.
