Vari is building a next-generation IT function and seeks a Cloud Platform Engineer to own Azure-based infrastructure for internal apps and AI agents. You will design, ship, and safeguard cloud foundations, enabling rapid, reliable production delivery while advancing guardrails and automation.

The role emphasizes AI-native development, infrastructure-as-code adoption, and strong collaboration with technology operations, security, and data teams.

Qualifications

• 5+ years in cloud infrastructure, platform, or DevOps engineering, with deep hands-on Azure.
• AI-native and forward-thinking — AI and agentic tools are a natural part of how you build.
• Hands-on building and operating application hosting on Azure — serverless (Functions) and containers (Container Apps or AKS).
• Establishing CI/CD and, ideally, infrastructure-as-code (Bicep and/or Terraform).
• Strong command of Entra ID (identity, RBAC, PIM, conditional access), Azure Key Vault, and Azure Monitor / Log Analytics.
• Automation scripting in Python and/or PowerShell, with maintainable, tested code.

Responsibilities

• Own the cloud platform for internal apps and agents — design, build, and operate the Azure foundations.
• Make shipping and scaling routine — establish deployment pipelines and observability for rapid, consistent delivery.
• Design for reliability and scale — plan capacity, performance, and resilience as the portfolio grows.
• Provide sensible guardrails — per-app identities, secrets in Key Vault, and controlled automation.
• Bring infrastructure-as-code where it earns its keep — adopt IaC with clear reviewability.
• Work AI-natively — leverage agentic tools and AI as a multiplier.
