Job summary

Elicit, an AI research platform, seeks an experienced Infrastructure/SRE engineer to own and evolve our cloud infrastructure in a multi-tenant enterprise context. You will ensure reliability, security, cost-efficiency, and scalable deployments across AWS and GCP, enabling private clouds and enterprise-grade SLAs.

You will lead observability, incident response, and compliance initiatives while partnering with James and the product teams to size workloads and optimize performance at scale.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of hands-on infrastructure/SRE/platform engineering experience.
• Solid Terraform experience and Kubernetes expertise.
• AWS experience, with GCP familiarity a plus.
• GitOps and CI/CD fluency (Argo CD, GitHub Actions).
• Security/compliance awareness (SOC 2, SIEM, and related).

Responsibilities

• Own our cloud infrastructure across AWS and GCP — Kubernetes clusters, networking, databases, Cloudflare, and CI/CD pipeline.
• Scale single-tenant deployments with data residency, monitoring, and compliance requirements.
• Build observability and incident response practices with proactive monitoring and post-mortems.
• Drive compliance and security operations, disaster recovery exercises, and security event monitoring.
• Manage infrastructure cost and capacity; optimize spend as usage grows.
• Improve developer experience with faster CI/CD and deployment tooling.
• Contribute to backend systems where infrastructure intersects with application logic.
