Job summary

HunaTek is seeking a senior Cloud Engineer to implement, maintain, and optimize on‑premise and Azure cloud environments, with responsibilities spanning Windows, Linux, VMware, and SAN/NAS infrastructures. You’ll work in a hands‑on role supporting hybrid cloud, AWS, and security‑driven deployments.

The ideal candidate has 7+ years of system administration experience, strong Azure and AWS backgrounds, and hands‑on scripting in Python/PowerShell/Perl, plus cloud architecture expertise.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in computer science, electrical engineering, mathematics or similar technical discipline.
• 7+ years’ experience in system administration in a large enterprise environment.
• 5+ years system administration experience in Microsoft Azure cloud.
• Strong understanding of cloud architecture and multiple resources support for EA cloud efforts.
• Experience with AWS cloud infrastructure, AWS networking, IAM roles, and scripting.
• Knowledge of IaaS, PaaS, SaaS and hybrid cloud deployment models.
• Hands-on knowledge of public and hybrid cloud tools for automated provisioning and configuration management.

Responsibilities

• Provide SMEs for Azure cloud services and virtualization technologies.
• Perform IT operations tasks including OS installation, patches, and upgrades.
• Manage infrastructure automation and collaborate with engineering in agile/DevOps environments.
• Analyze system performance and identify optimizations in virtualized, storage, and cloud environments.
• Troubleshoot cloud, software, and network issues and resolve incidents.
• Collaborate with IT security to maintain cloud apps free of risks and vulnerabilities.
• Work with vendors for security assessments and monitor software to reduce risks.
• Participate in Root Cause Analyses for critical/high incidents.
• Understand delivery pipelines and integrations into infrastructure automation.
