Job summary

TEGNA IT seeks a Hybrid Cloud Engineer to lead the design, implementation, and optimization of hybrid infrastructure across Nutanix/VMware, AWS, and Azure. The role emphasizes secure, scalable, and cost‑efficient solutions with IaC tooling and governance.

You will mentor teammates, support on‑prem and cloud environments, and guide modernization initiatives while delivering automated deployments and robust security standards.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of experience supporting/implementing enterprise infrastructure with Nutanix/VMware (required) and AWS (preferred).
• Hands-on with Nutanix AHV/KVM and/or VMware
• Experience with AWS IAM, VPC, EC2, EKS, RDS, Lambda, S3, CloudWatch, CloudTrail
• Knowledge of Azure AD, Virtual Machines, Networking, Storage (preferred)
• Strong automation and scripting, Terraform or CloudFormation highly preferred; CI/CD a plus

Responsibilities

• Design, implement, and optimize hybrid infrastructure across Nutanix/VMware, AWS, and Azure.
• Lead modernization and governance to advance hybrid cloud maturity.
• Develop infrastructure standards and governance policies across on‑prem, AWS, and Azure.
