Job summary

Ferrovial is seeking a Field Engineer/Operations role in Canada focused on maintaining contracted assets such as roadways, signs, and guardrails. The incumbent will operate, repair, and manage surface and right-of-way tasks under supervision, with snow/ice removal and traffic control duties, plus readiness for emergencies.

Requires a high school diploma, at least 3 years of related construction/maintenance experience, and a valid Ontario G license with safety training including first aid, WHMIS,

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent.
• Minimum of three (3) years related work experience in construction, road maintenance, commercial/industrial repair, maintenance or highway infrastructure (preferred).
• Ontario Class G driver’s license or higher with acceptable driving record.
• Training in traffic control methods, first aid, transportation of dangerous goods, WHMIS and job-related aspects of Occupational Health.

Responsibilities

• Maintain and repair highway and other surfaces including signs, guardrails, fence, potholes, adding or replacing reflectors and shouldering.
• Operate vehicles and equipment for surface and right-of-way maintenance and repair; repair/maintenance of slopes, berms, culverts, drains, etc.
• Removal of snow and ice using snow removal and/or sanding equipment.
• Traffic control setup and removal.
• Transport crew and equipment to work sites.
• Available for emergency response rotations including overtime, evenings, weekends, and holidays.
• All other duties as assigned.
