Fuze Health Inc. is seeking a Senior Database Administrator to lead the database modernization for the Hospice unit. You will drive SQL Server on EC2 upgrades, migrate to AWS RDS, and modernize SSIS/SSRS.

This role focuses on cost optimization and cloud-native operations, with mentoring responsibilities for the Hospice DBA team. You will collaborate with DevOps for Terraform automation, ensure HITRUST E1 compliance, and explore PostgreSQL/Aurora as part of the 2027 roadmap, serving hospice

Qualifications

• 8+ years of database administration experience.
• Deep expertise with Microsoft SQL Server (2016+) performance tuning, high availability, disaster recovery.
• Hands-on experience with SQL Server upgrades and end-of-support migrations.
• Experience with SSIS and SSRS.
• Experience with AWS RDS (SQL Server) setup, migration, monitoring, and Multi-AZ (if applicable).
• Experience with Terraform for infra management and AWS-native ETL/tools planning.

Responsabilités

• Lead SQL Server modernization on EC2, migration to AWS RDS, and upgrade testing.
• Migrate or modernize SSIS/SSRS workloads to AWS-native ETL and reporting services.
• Drive database cost optimization and instance right-sizing.
• Upskill Hospice SQL DBA team on AWS database operations.
• Establish cloud-native monitoring using Datadog and CloudWatch.
• Design automated backup, restore, and disaster recovery processes.
• Collaborate with DevOps on infrastructure automation (Terraform for RDS).
• Ensure HITRUST E1 compliance for all databases.
• Support database development needs for Hospice applications.
• Explore PostgreSQL/Aurora options for future roadmap.
