Job summary

Peraton seeks an experienced AWS Security Manager to lead our cloud security program ensuring secure, compliant AWS infrastructure across multi-account environments. You will guide security engineers, set standards, and partner with DevOps and GRC teams to embed security into CI/CD and IaC workflows.

The role requires hands-on expertise in IAM, encryption, Security Hub, GuardDuty, and incident response, along with leadership experience and the ability to obtain the required agency clearance.

Qualifications

• 6+ years in cloud security or cybersecurity with team leadership.
• Strong knowledge of AWS IAM, KMS, CloudTrail, CloudWatch.
• Hands-on Terraform experience writing modules.
• U.S. citizenship and ability to obtain Agency clearance.

Responsibilities

• Lead security engineers focused on AWS hardening and incident response.
• Establish enterprise AWS security standards and policies.
• Oversee IAM strategy including roles and least-privilege.
• Collaborate with DevOps to embed security into CI/CD and IaC.
• Drive automation for drift detection and remediation.
