Job summary

Amazon Web Services, Inc. is seeking a Solutions Architect to drive defense-focused cloud architectures and implementations. You will own technical engagements, design architectures, respond to RFIs/RFPs, and develop deep AWS expertise while ensuring security for customer applications and services.

You will share best practices across the AWS solution architect community with a focus on DoD customers. You will collaborate with a dynamic sales and engineering team to accelerate AWS Defense

Qualifications

• 2+ years of design, implementation, or consulting in applications and infrastructures
• 4+ years of specific technology domain areas (e.g. software development, cloud computing, systems engineering, infrastructure, security, networking, data & analytics)
• 10+ years of IT development or implementation/consulting in the software or Internet industries
• Bachelor's degree, or CASP+ or CCSP or Cloud+ or CSSLP certifications

Responsibilities

• Own the technical engagement and ultimate success around specific implementation projects
• Define implementation architectures and provide inputs to RFIs/RFPs
• Develop deep expertise in AWS technologies and architectures for customer solutions
• Serve as SME on security related to customer applications and services
• Lead efforts to capture and share best-practice knowledge within AWS solution architect community
• Collaborate with sales, partners and customers to educate and drive cloud adoption
