Job summary

Amazon Web Services (AWS) seeks a Solutions Architect to help U.S. Defense Department customers implement innovative cloud solutions and architect complex, secure deployments using AWS services such as DynamoDB, S3, EC2, and CloudFront.

The role requires strong consultative skills, on-site collaboration with customers, and the ability to guide architecture decisions and responses to RFIs/RFPs while maintaining security best practices.

Qualifications

• 8+ years of technology domain areas (e.g. software development, cloud computing, systems engineering, infrastructure, security, networking, data & analytics) experience.
• 3+ years of design, implementation, or consulting in applications and infrastructures experience.
• 10+ years of IT development or implementation/consulting in the software or Internet industries experience.
• Associate's degree or above, or CASP+ (CompTIA Advanced Security Practitioner) or CCSP (Certified Cloud Security Professional) or Cloud+ or CSSLP (Certified Secure Software Lifecycle Professional)

Responsibilities

• Own the technical engagement and ultimate success around specific implementation projects; defining implementation architectures and providing inputs to RFI/RFP responses.
• Develop a deep expertise in the AWS technologies as well as broad know-how around how applications and services are constructed using the AWS platform.
• Be a subject matter expert on security as it relates to customer applications and services.
• Work on-site with the customer in the Defense markets and lead efforts to capture and share best-practice knowledge among the AWS solution architect community.
